Armenian citizen, 30-year-old Narek Sardaryan, making use of the lack of control at Armenian forces’ positions, entered the territory of Azerbaijan’s Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, Trend reports on July 15.
Sardaryan, detained by Azerbaijani servicemen, said he was engaged in animal husbandry on the border with Nakhchivan, that he was tired of violence, bureaucratic arbitrariness and injustice in his country, and had long been looking for the opportunity to cross the border and seek asylum in Azerbaijan.
