Ombudsman to review Armenian-Australian complaints against SBS coverage of Nagorno Karabakh

The Armenian National Committee of Australia’s (ANC-AU) letter of protest, against public broadcaster SBS’s one-sided coverage of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict, has been referred to the network’s Ombudsman for further investigation.

In the letter addressed to the head of Australia’s Special Broadcasting Service (SBS) George Savvides and Managing Director James Taylor, the ANC-AU called out an inaccurate report covering the post-war situation between Azerbaijan, the indigenous Armenians of the Republic of Artsakh and the Republic of Armenia.

PanARMENIAN.Net – After two rounds, 16 players, including Armenia’s Elina Danielyan and Anna M. Sargsyan, share the lead with 2.0/2 at the European Individual Women’s Chess Championship, an 11-round Swiss, that takes place in Iasi/Romania, Chessbase reports.

117 players are registered for the 11-round Swiss. The time limit is 90 minutes for 40 moves + 30 minutes for the rest of the game. There will be an additional 30 seconds for each move.
