Turkish Democracy Project joins calls to stop drone technology supply to Turkey

The Turkish Democracy Project (TDP) has called on three US companies to cut ties with Baykar Makina, whose TB2 drones have become a weapon of choice for repressive regimes around the world and which have been implicated in attacks on civilians in Armenia while prolonging bloody conflicts in Syria and Libya. Russia appoints new Commander of Peacekeeping Forces in Artsakh

Armenian Minister of Defense Arshak Karapetyan received today the newly appointed Commander of the Russian Peacekeeping Forces in Artsakh, Major General Mikhail Kosobokov, and the Commander of the Russian 102nd Military Base in Armenia, Colonel Dmitry Ovcharov. The Defense Attaché of the Russian Embassy in Armenia, Colonel Igor Shcherbakov took part in the meeting.

The Armenian Defense Minister congratulated Major-General Mikhail Kosobokov on assuming the post and wished him success in his peacekeeping mission.

PanARMENIAN.Net – Armenian civilians and prisoners of war in Azerbaijan have been tortured, including psychologically, according to fresh analysis unveiled by Human Rights Defender Arman Tatoyan on Wednesday, September 8.

Tatoyan revealed that in some cases the Azerbaijani side provided water or food to captured Armenians only after beating and humiliating them. According to him, PoWs captured during or after the 44-day war unleashed by Azerbaijan against Nagorno-Karabakh were tortured for both their ethnicity and religion.

Two Armenian soldiers return from Azerbaijani captivity

Two Armenian prisoners of war have returned from Azerbaijani captivity. The National Security Service confirmed the news Pubic Radio of Armenia.

Azerbaijani soldier Jamil Babayev, arrested in Artsakh late last month, was transferred to the Azerbaijani side. On August 25, he had crossed the border illegally and entered one of the houses in the Martakert region of Artsakh.

The return of the captives to Armenia took place through the mediation of the Commander of the Peacekeeping Troops of the Russian Federation, Lieutenant General Rustam Muradov.
