Armenia reports daily Covid-19 cases of 233

PanARMENIAN.Net – The number of confirmed coronavirus infections in Armenia grew by 233 to reach 229,603 on Thursday, July 29 morning, according to information provided by the Health Ministry.

Fresh figures also revealed that 123 more people recovered, and seven patients died from Covid-19, while three people carrying the virus died from other causes in the past 24 hours.

A total of 5930 tests have been performed in the past day, the National Center For Disease Control and Prevention said.

PanARMENIAN.Net – The number of confirmed coronavirus infections in Armenia grew by 280 to reach 229,370 on Wednesday, July 28 morning, according to information provided by the Health Ministry.

Fresh figures also revealed that 99 more people recovered, and no patients died from Covid-19 in the past 24 hours.

A total of 6932 tests have been performed in the past day, the National Center For Disease Control and Prevention said.

So far, 219,379 people have recovered, 4597 have died from the coronavirus in the country, while 1116 others carrying the virus have died from other causes.

Acting PM visits renovated St. Gregory the Illuminator Medical Center

Acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, accompanied by Acting Minister of Health Anahit Avanesyan, visited St. Gregory the Illuminator Medical Center, got acquainted with the renovation and technical re-equipment works, which started in 2019.

Robin the Robot assesses the cognitive and psychosocial needs of elders at Nork Old Age Home in Yerevan

Alzheimer’s Care Armenia (ACA), in collaboration with Expper Technologies is investigating the use of an emotional support robot to improve the well-being of institutionalized older adults in Armenia. Armenia to have an alternative corridor to Russia: Georgia starts construction of Algeti-Sadakhlo road

Georgia plans to build more than 20 roads by 2024, one of which is expected to become an alternative compact corridor from Armenia to Russia, Public Radio correspondent Gita Elibekyan reports from Tbilisi.

The road from the border with Armenia, from the Sadakhlo checkpoint to the border with Russia, will allow Yerevan to become part of the East-West European Highway. Georgia has recently received a loan from the European Investment Bank for the construction of a new road leading to the Armenian border.
