Tigran Avinyan Attends Integrated Public Services Office Opening Ceremony

On June 23, 2021, Acting Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan attended the launch of the Integrated Office of Public Services in Gyumri. The project was supported by the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia, Haypost CJSC and the U.S. Agency for International Development.

Operation of Gyumri’s Shirak airport to be suspended for renovation work

From July 15 to September 15 of this year planned renovation works will be carried out at Gyumri’s Shirak airport. Namely, the runway will be completely renovated, “Armenia International Airports” CJSC informs.

Aircompany Armenia to launch flights from Gyumri to Moscow and Tbilisi

From 17 April 2021 Aircompany Armenia will start operating flights on Gyumri- Moscow- Gyumri and Gyumri-Tbilisi-Gyumri routes.

Armenian weightlifters return home to hero’s welcome

Armenian weightlifters returned home today to a hero’s welcome. The Armenian athletes won eight medals at the European Weightlifting Championships held in Moscow, Russia.

Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport Vahram Dumanyan said the results were satisfying.

“The Olympic Games are ahead, from which we have championship expectations,” he said.

Deputy Minister Karen Giloyan noted that the results indicate Armenia can well be one of the strongest in the world in two or three years.

Hayastan Fund launches construction of two apartment buildings in Gyumri

The Hayastan All Armenian Fund, as part of the “Our Gyumri” projects has launched the construction of two apartment buildings and a kindergarten designed for 50 children.

The project will solve the housing problem of about 40 families living in “domiks” (metal containers) since the 1988 earthquake, allowing them to start a new life in cozy and furnished apartments.
