During the summit of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) in Dushanbe, Armenia took over the chairmanship of the organization.
A decision was made to hold the next meeting of the CSTO Security Council in Yerevan in the fourth quarter of 2022.
It was also decided to hold large-scale CSTO military exercises in Tajikistan in the near future, which will involve various units of the Armed Forces of the CSTO member states.
Addressing the summit, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said the Armenian side would like partners to focus on consistent joint work aimed at the dynamic development of the organization and increase of the effectiveness of its mechanisms.
