53% of Armenians have a positive image of the European Union

Yerevan /Mediamax/. 53% of Armenians have a positive image of the European Union (EU), compared to 44% in 2016. The number of persons with negative opinions of the EU is just 9%.

The EU-funded ‘EU NEIGHBOURS east’ project has conducted the 2020 opinion poll in the six countries of the Eastern Partnership (EaP). The survey took place between February and March 2020 (before COVID-19 crisis) and was based upon face-to-face interviews among a representative sample of 1,000 people per country.
